We are the largest Swing and Blues dance school in Auckland specializing in vintage dances from the 20s, 30s and 40s.
Swing Dance is a group of dances that developed through the late '20s through to the early '40s along side the swing style of jazz music that was being played at the time. The best known of these dances is the Lindy Hop, a popular partner dance that originated in Harlem.
Blues dancing is a dance than evolved in juke joints and rent parties in the early part of the 20th century and has found a new home in the new millennium, it continues to evolved and change as more new dance enthusiasts find this beautifully connected partner dance.
We offer swing dance lessons in Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, 20s Charleston, 30s Charleston, Blues and Balboa.
